- Soundproofing Enclosure for 400 kV Station in Tenhult
Soundproofing Enclosure for 400 kV Station in Tenhult

Project Overview
DECIBEL, in collaboration with local partner EfTech, was tasked with designing and delivering a soundproofing enclosure for the Reaktor 400 kV station in Tenhult.
The project required a highly specialised approach to meet strict technical and operational requirements while reducing noise from the facility.
Challenge
The station produced high levels of noise that needed to be controlled without compromising the performance or safety of the installation.
The challenge was to create a custom enclosure that provided effective noise reduction while ensuring airflow and accessibility.
Scope of Work
- Collaboration with EfTech for local project execution
- Acoustic assessment of the 400 kV station and its surroundings
- Design of a custom enclosure meeting strict technical standards
- Manufacture and installation of PZP soundproofing panels
- Integration of acoustic louvres for ventilation and system efficiency
Solution
DECIBEL engineered a custom soundproofing enclosure using durable PZP acoustic panels.
Acoustic louvres were integrated to maintain airflow and system cooling, ensuring that the solution would not interfere with the critical operations of the 400 kV station.
The enclosure was tailored to fit the technical constraints of the site while achieving high acoustic performance.
Result
The installation successfully reduced noise emissions from the station while meeting the strict technical requirements of the client.
The collaboration between DECIBEL and EfTech ensured efficient execution and a reliable long-term solution for the 400 kV station in Tenhult.
