Ceiling Sound Insulation C-MUTE SYSTEM™ 33
C - MUTE SYSTEM™ 33, a soundproof panel system for ceilings that is designed to reduce noise and the impact in residential and public premises. The MUTE soundproof panels are connected to the ceiling using our patented DClox™ anti-vibration mount. This mount allows for maximum utilisation of the acoustic principal Mass-Spring-Mass. “A sound wave that hits the MUTE soundproof ceiling has much of its’ sound energy dispersed due to the unique density of MUTE. Any sound energy that escapes through the MUTE ceiling panel enters a non-flammable acoustic foam layer that provides sound absorption. Any sound wave that penetrates both layers of MUTE reaches “spring” space (air gap) meaning that any excitation of the Mute panel is not transferred to the ceiling”. The DClox™ unique isolation system ensures contact with the existing ceiling structure is kept below 1%.
DECIBEL has used Finite Element Modelling to develop the unique geometry of MUTE. The density of the parent board, combined with an acoustic non-flammable foam backing and carefully positioned DClox™ isolation mount, ensures maximum acoustic ceiling panel efficiency in the system. The full MUTE range has had its' acoustic performance verified with independent laboratory testing.
DClox™ is a patented fastener specially designed for the installation of C - MUTE SYSTEM™ soundproofing panels.
These innovative fasteners are made from special elastomers, making them an effective Vibro insulation point connection between the existing partition wall and the panel. Their geometry reduces the rate of sound transmission and minimises the contacting area between the soundproof panels and existing wall to below 1%.
