The DeciSound acoustic insulation panel is a specialised dual- or triple-layer product designed to reduce noise from compressors, washing machines, dishwashers, and piping systems. Engineered for both sound insulation and sound absorption, it provides an effective and durable solution for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Each panel combines dense, elastic soundproofing layers with highly efficient sound-absorbing materials, forming a flexible structure that minimises noise transmission and reduces sound pressure levels inside enclosures. DeciSound panels are suitable for installation inside metal, wooden, or plastic housings and can be applied directly to horizontal, vertical, or curved surfaces.

How It Works

The dual-layer DeciSound panel features an elastic, high-density soundproofing layer that adheres tightly to the enclosure surface, preventing sound transmission through its mass and flexibility. With a density of 2000 kg/m³ and a low elasticity modulus of E = 0.008 GPa, it effectively blocks vibration and structure-borne sound. The secondary acoustic foam layer absorbs reflected sound inside the enclosure, improving overall insulation performance.

The triple-layer version is constructed with two sound-absorbing layers surrounding a central high-density elastic core. This configuration provides enhanced attenuation across low, mid, and high frequencies, making it ideal for insulating washing machine or dishwasher cabinets, compressor enclosures, or HVAC ducts.

Key Benefits

  • High Sound Insulation Performance: Exceeds standard insulation levels through dense, elastic core design.
  • Easy Installation: Can be glued directly onto surfaces or wrapped around HVAC pipes and ducts.
  • Durable and Long-Lasting: Outperforms traditional mineral or glass wool in service life and resilience.
  • Cost-Effective: Delivers high acoustic performance and simple installation without specialised tools.

Installation Overview

DeciSound panels are installed by direct adhesive bonding on walls, enclosures, or within machinery housings. Their flexibility allows them to contour around pipes, compressors, or ventilation ducts. The material can be cut easily to size, ensuring precise fitting in compact spaces. No special tools are required, making installation quick and efficient even in retrofit applications.
