TECWOOL – Fire-Resistant Soundproofing and Absorbing Panel

TECWOOL is a next-generation panel that combines fire resistance, thermal insulation, soundproofing, and sound absorption in a single product. Developed for both domestic and industrial use, it delivers higher levels of noise reduction than traditional insulation materials of comparable thickness.
TECWOOL is engineered to reduce airborne noise, dampen resonance, improve the acoustic quality of any space, and reduce the energy costs of air conditioning.
How It Works
TECWOOL utilises the power of glass wool insulation for enhanced density and damping performance. The front surface is covered with a black glass veil scrim that seals the wool, prevents fibre release, and further optimises noise absorption. Together, these layers achieve a tested sound reduction index of Rw = 31 dB.
Key Benefits
- High acoustic performance compared to traditional insulation.
- Dual function: soundproofing and sound absorption in one panel.
- Fire-resistant with classification A2 for added safety.
- Versatile installation for walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Lightweight, safe to handle, and durable in use.
- Improves speech clarity and reduces unwanted reverberation.
- Soundproofing solution for both domestic and industrial projects.
Installation Overview
TECWOOL panels are designed for simple and effective integration into various building systems:
- Behind plasterboard as a substitute for traditional Rockwool insulation.
- Above suspended ceilings, applied directly to the gridwork suspension system (with extra hangers recommended).
- Under raised floors as an effective insulating layer.
- As a finished facing in studios, practice rooms, and voice-over booths.
For wall insulation in high-traffic areas, it is recommended to mount TECWOOL within a recess formed from plasterboard to protect the panel edges. Panels can be fastened using standard dowels.
