Acoustic Treatment for HubHub Coworking Space in Bratislava

Project Overview

In the heart of Bratislava, HubHub’s coworking space was facing a common issue in modern open-plan environments: excessive echo and reverberation.

One of their key meeting rooms, designed in a sleek industrial style, struggled to maintain acoustic clarity during both in-person meetings and online calls.

To address the issue without compromising the visual identity of the space, DECIBEL was commissioned to provide a precise acoustic treatment that matched the space’s functional and aesthetic requirements.

Challenge

The challenge was twofold:

• To reduce disruptive reverberations and echo in a glass-and-concrete meeting room with reflective surfaces.
• To implement an effective acoustic solution while preserving the room’s existing industrial design language, including exposed structures and high ceilings.

Scope of Work

• Acoustic analysis and on-site assessment of the meeting room
• Design of a tailored acoustic treatment plan respecting the interior concept
• Supply and installation of:
• Echo Cloud suspended ceiling baffles
• Echo Wall acoustic wall panels

Solution

DECIBEL designed a discreet acoustic treatment that balanced performance with aesthetic consistency.

Echo Cloud acoustic baffles were installed across the ceiling to absorb mid- and high-frequency reflections, while Echo Wall panels were applied to key wall areas to further reduce sound reflection and flutter echo.

Both products were chosen for their acoustic performance and their ability to integrate visually into the industrial architecture of the coworking space.

Result

The intervention significantly improved speech clarity, allowing for more productive online calls and undisturbed face-to-face meetings.

The solution delivered a balanced, sound environment that enhanced the everyday usability of the room — all without interfering with the raw and modern look of the space.
