- Acoustic Treatment of Amadeus Offices in the Vertigo Building
Acoustic Treatment of Amadeus Offices in the Vertigo Building

Project Overview
When Amadeus moved into their new offices in the iconic Vertigo building, the impressive architecture brought both prestige and challenges.
The three open-plan floors were flooded with light from suspended glass façades and reflective surfaces. Still, the same design created an overwhelming echo that made conversations difficult and meetings tiring.
Understanding the importance of acoustic comfort for productivity, Amadeus contacted DECIBEL to transform their offices into a space that supported clarity, collaboration, and well-being.
Challenge
The office floors suffered from extremely long reverberation times due to glass façades and numerous reflective interior elements.
Suitable installation areas were limited, and the architectural design required customised panel shapes.
The solution also had to reflect Amadeus’s corporate identity and integrate seamlessly with the premium office design.
Scope of Work
- On-site acoustic survey, photography, and niche-by-niche measurements
- Acoustic modelling and preparation of a detailed treatment plan
- Design of textile ceiling and wall panels, many with diagonal cuts to fit architectural geometry
- Colour coordination with Amadeus’s brand identity for visual harmony
- Supply and installation of 822 textile acoustic panels across three floors
Solution
DECIBEL engineers designed a tailored acoustic solution with textile panels installed across the ceilings and walls wherever possible.
Custom diagonal cuts allowed panels to align with the unique surfaces of the Vertigo building, maximising treated areas.
Colours were carefully selected to reflect Amadeus’s branding, with one dominant shade and a secondary accent for balance.
Result
The month-long installation was completed smoothly and on schedule. Reverberation times were significantly reduced, echo was eliminated, and the office spaces became comfortable for day-to-day communication and collaboration.
Amadeus employees can now enjoy a visually striking workplace that also delivers the acoustic comfort required for focus and efficiency.
