How It Works

C-BLOCK SYSTEM™ is built on the principle of combining materials with different densities and elasticities, supported by vibro-insulating hangers and a strong frame. This multi-layered approach blocks and absorbs airborne noise while preventing vibrations from the parent ceiling from entering the panel.

Depending on ceiling type and thickness, the system provides soundproofing performance of 15–24 dB, making it one of the most effective solutions available. Compatibility with lightweight gypsum board finishes ensures a seamless, modern result.

Installation Overview

The system is installed directly onto existing ceilings using special vibro-insulating hangers and a sturdy supporting structure. A significant component that aids its effectiveness is the addition of the VISTO panel. Inside this panel, there is an elastic DCVisco membrane between 2 sheets of polyurethane foam, mounted between high-density gypsum boards. This combination enhances the sound insulation properties across the entire frequency spectrum.

DECIBEL recommends finishing the installation of the C-BLOCK SYSTEM™ with a layer of gypsumboard for a practically invisible design.
